Openreach Reveal UK Broadband and Ethernet Price Rises for ISPs

Network access provider Openreach (BT) has today unveiled its usual round of annual price increases across their wholesale broadband and Ethernet products for UK ISPs, which touches on everything from full fibre (FTTP) lines to FTTC (VDSL2 / SOGEA), Cablelinks, ISDN and Ethernet Access Direct (EAD), among other products.

Business Comms Provider Global4 Acquires UK ISP Gemini

Horsham-based business telecoms and technology provider Global4 has today announced the acquisition of Gemini, which offers a similar range of broadband, I.T., voice and mobile connectivity solutions, for an undisclosed sum. Global4 hopes the deal will help to expand its offerings.

ISP TalkTalk Warn of Uncertain Future as UK Broadband Users Fall UPDATE

UK ISP TalkTalk has published their annual accounts to 28th Feb 2023 and revealed that their broadband base fell to 3.94 million (down from 3.98m in 2022), while the provider’s bosses also reportedly warned that there is “material uncertainty” ahead of an expect debt refinancing that “may cast significant doubt” over its future.

Broadband ISP Alncom has announced that they’ve just added a another 350 properties to the coverage of their gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network in rural Northumberland (England), which occurred after they extended their existing fibre in the village of Lowick to cater for the holiday site of Barmoor Castle Country Park.
