ISP PlusNet has begun offering a series of new half price promotions on their standard (up to 16Mbps) and superfast (up to 80Mbps) unlimited broadband and phone bundle packages, although the ISP has also quietly hiked some of their line rental and call plan prices.

Sky Broadband (BSkyB) has added a £25 M&S Voucher to its current offer of 6 months free unlimited broadband with included weekend calls. In addition new customers who bundle in its Sky TV service will also benefit from a £100 M&S Voucher if they join online.

New customers who take one of EE’s superfast fixed line Fibre Broadband (FTTC) packages, which offer internet download speeds of up to 76Mbps, can now trial the service free for the first three months of service (includes a free connection and free router). Otherwise prices for the service start from £15 inc. VAT a month.

ISP BeyonDSL has reached an agreement with its supplier SES (SES Broadband) to re-brand its broadband service to Satellite Internet, which will allow them to offer download speeds of up to 20Mbps (Megabits per second) to practically the whole of the United Kingdom.

Mobile operator EE, which recently announced that it would double its headline 4G based Mobile Broadband speeds up to 80Mbps (here), has now launched one of the United Kingdom’s first LTE Category 4 (150Mbps capable) based mobile WiFi modems (MiFi) – the Huawei E5776.

High Street retailer John Lewis has celebrated the one-year anniversary of its new internet access and home phone service by offering 6 months free broadband and calls when new customers buy any “qualifying internet-enabled product” (e.g. Tablets, Smart TVs, Radios, Cameras and Mobiles with internet capabilities etc.).

One of the cheapest internet providers in the market, Primus Saver, will today move to make its £1.20 a month broadband and calls bundle even more attractive by increasing the default usage allowance from 20GB (GigaBytes) to 40GB. A free connection and free router are also included.

Internet provider BT Retail has today introduced “Totally Unlimited Broadband” on all but its entry level offerings, some of which were already supposed to be “unlimited” in the first place. The key difference appears to be a policy change and related products are now “free from traffic management” (e.g. P2P and video streaming restrictions).
