AOL UK Offers FREE PlayStation 3 & Broadband

Posted: 27th Nov, 2007 By: MarkJ
Thinkbroadband reports that The Carphone Warehouse has begun offering new subscribers to AOL UK's 'Broadband Wireless Plus' package a free Sony PlayStation 3 (PS3) games console.

The package itself comes with a frightening 24 month contract period, free wireless router, costs £19.99 per month (£29.99 if you're not covered by the ISP's unbundled network), offers speeds of 'up to' 8Mbps, a 40GB monthly data usage cap and includes the AOL Talk Pay As You Go voice calls plan.

Typically the console itself is one of the cheapest variants with 40GB's of hard disk storage, though it does include a free Ratchet & Clank:™ Tools of Destruction game. Subscribers are not given a choice over the game and must also stump up for the £14.99 delivery fee.
