BT has been criticised for failing to 'detail' its recently announced
LLU migration promotion, especially their definition of "bulk". Yesterday the operator sought to change that by revealing more information:
At the time a spokeswoman for the monster telco told us that the company had yet to decide what consituted a bulk order and that it was "currently negotiating with the industry".
Today, El Reg received the following from BT: "The definition of bulk migration is the multiple migration of BT Wholesale Ipstream or Datastream customers to LLU with no change of Service Provider. This must take place in a single exchange (one batch) using a project managed service - ie the total numbers and timings to be agreed in advance between BT and the LLUO. The transfer must be completed in the shortest practical time."Sadly this makes the promotion somewhat restricted in its overall impact, with the exception of larger scale migrations. More @
