UK scientists have managed to invent a way of carrying digital information at very high speeds (up to 24Mbps) by utilising the voice box of the common farm yard cow.
The technology works by using a wireless microchip, which is then imbedded in the cows voicebox, to adjust the output harmonics of the cows "Moooo" sound.
Unsurprisingly the MooFi tech, as it has now been nicknamed, demonstrates great potential for covering remote rural areas with broadband. This is due to the plentiful supply of all-weather MooFi capable cows in local fields.
Sadly the technology isn't without its critics and RSPCA aside, suffers from poor coverage during rain due to the cows sitting down on mass. It's hoped that small electrical shocks to the hooves should be able to solve this.
Now, do we really have to remind you what date it is ;)?
