Update: The rumour has been confirmed. UK-Bug's rumour mill has been working overtime again and it's being suggested that Telefonica's UK division (supplies ISP's with Datastream broadband xDSL) may have been sold to Manchester based NetServices.
Sadly most will remember NetServices from part of last years
Gio Internet upset, when NS reported that Gio owned them a considerable sum of money in unpaid bills.
Update - The Register reports that the sale has been confirmed in an email to customers:
"This move, which is part of our [NetServices's] business development plans, means that all contracts with Telefónica UK are now the responsibility of NetServices Plc," said the email.
Customers have been assured that it will be business as usual and that staff will be retained to "maintain continuity in the supply relationship".NetServices is reportedly looking towards further acquisitions.
