Pipex has launched a £6.50 per month 'up to' 8Mbps broadband package, although youd have to take it with their 'Anytime' calls package of an additional £12.50 (£14.99 if just broadband). The offer is similar to the one already launched by Pipex's HomeCall division (
here):
Pipex super-fast broadband with free unlimited Anytime local and national voice calls, comes with free web space and web mail, and is available now to over 99% of UK households1. This new deal is part of a wide choice of Pipex broadband and calls packages and can be ordered online at www.pipex.co.uk or on the sales hotline number 0800 107 5400.
"Our latest broadband and voice package is our boldest yet: offering exceptional value for money, security and a reliable online service via our high-speed network," says Dominic Crolla, Managing Director of Pipexs residential division. "With David Hasselhoff spear-heading a new advertising campaign, our renewed support for Fulham FC and a new look corporate identity, were reaching out to an even bigger audience in the UK. Were here to help people get even more out of their communications and broadband."
For full terms and conditions, please visit http://www.pipex.co.ukThe package does have a few differences from HomeCalls, for example; it is not promoted as 'unlimited' and instead is governed by a 2GB monthly cap. You can also buy just the broadband side for £14.99 per month, without the voice product and lets not forget the 12 month contract.
We note that Pipex charges a staggering £2.70 for each extra GB your connection consumes! As for the 'free' modem, it'll still cost £7.50 to mail and there's a weird £20 modem recovery fee (charge if you leave early, we assume).
