Thinkbroadband reports that, thanks to a new deal with BSkyB and Land Securities, BT is set to rollout next-gen Fibre To The Home (FTTH) broadband services at the Ebbsfleet Valley development:
This development will comprise of up to 9,500 new homes, commercial offices, retail, community and leisure facilities in an area of 1000 acres.
Multiple fibre deployment to properties means that each home will be pre-enabled to receive Freeview, DAB radio and satellite-based entertainment, avoiding the need for satellite dishes.
BT hasn't revealed any prices or package details, but we understand that the service will be faster than most current broadband products. Sadly issues of cost and demand continue to prevent FTTH on a national scale.
