Insurance company AXA has found that retired people spend more time online than they do in the garden or doing DIY:
Pensioners in the UK spend more time on line than their counterparts in France, Germany and Japan, though not as much as American and Australian over-65s.
AXA found that 88% of silver surfers chat regularly with friends and family over the internet, shattering the stereotypical view of the lonely pensioner.
Four in 10 retired people shop online more than occasionally, with 11% getting their grocery shopping delivered on a regular basis.
Good on them! More @
