Tiscali has updated its packages as originally promised in their earlier newsletter covering heavy usage -
HERE. Its ADSL packages are now marked as "unlimited" despite having a Fair Usage policy and start at £14.99 for 1Mbps.
We note that Tiscali had originally chosen to keep its £14.99 per month 1Mbps products capped to 2GB, yet that now appears to have changed. I shouldn't need to restate how strongly we disagree with any ISP that promotes "Unlimited" next to a 'Fair Usage' policy.
Tiscali's primary packages are now as follows:
£14.99 - Up to 1Mbps Unlimited
£17.99 - Up to 2Mbps Unlimited
£19.99 - Up to 1Mbps + Phone Offer
Take careful note of the "up to" as used by many providers. It means that if your exchange can't support 1/2Mbps then you'll get the next lowest speed possible.
