Today's news overload continues with Madasafish announcing the launch of its landline phone service - Madasafish Talk:
Customers get monthly line rental for just £9.99 a saving of over £1 compared with BT and free evening and weekend calls thrown in. Inclusive Anytime calls are also available for an additional £5.99 a month. Both options come with very competitive international rates, with calls to USA, Canada and various European destinations charged at just 2.5p per minute.
Madasafish is using BTs own network to carry calls, avoiding the problems with Local Loop Unbundling that have afflicted many high-profile providers of broadband and home phone services. This strategy gives customers fantastic cost savings and the convenience of a single bill, but with the peace of mind that no physical changes to their line will be taking place. It also means that Madasafish Talk is available to anyone with a non-cable phone line.
Madasafish has been running wide-scale trials with existing broadband customers for several months. Head of Marketing, Matthew Henton, said, The feedback from our consumers has been tremendous. Were cutting monthly phone bills but were not experiencing any of the well known service problems that are currently plaguing many of our rivals. By using BTs infrastructure and our own low-cost operating model, we are able to cut phone and broadband bills without the risks to service.
