Billion Launch New Range of Wireless-N Broadband Routers

Billion has announced a brand new range of broadband ADSL2+ and 3G (Mobile Broadband) routers using the latest draft 2.0 specification of next-gen 802.11n wireless (Wi-Fi) technology. The four new router/modems are outlined below:

BiPAC 5200N - Draft 802.11n ADSL2+ Firewall Router

Itís designed to share your networking anywhere with no more dead zones! With an integrated draft 802.11n Wireless Access Point, the router enables you to surf the Internet from anywhere at home or in the office, delivering fast wireless speeds of up to 300Mbps. The 3 built-in antennas enable effectively searching for wireless signals, and automatically adjust to establish an optimal connection after obstacles have been detected.

This is latest high speed Draft-2 version, yet is highly cost-effective at just £55 ex VAT.

Billion BiPAC 7300N

The BiPAC 7300N is unique in the marketplace as it can be configured both as a broadband router and also to be used with a cable modem. The Billion BiPAC 7300N is an all-in-one ADSL2+/Broadband Router with the latest draft 802.11n technology. With an integrated draft 802.11n Wireless Access Point, the 7300N router enables faster wireless speeds of up to 300Mbps, the three built-in antennas effectively search for wireless signals and automatically adjust to the optimal connection.

Importantly, one of the Ethernet LAN ports can be configured as a WAN interface for connecting to an external broadband modem. The Billion 7300N BiPAC therefore enables an ADSL/Cable modem user to upgrade their device to the latest 802.11n broadband router. The BiPAC 7402NX is the first wireless-N multi-gigabit VPN router with 3G autofailover designed specifically for the SMB market. It is designed for use over high speed gigabit networks, making it ideal for office and SMB users. With a 4 gigabit switch included.

It features a USB port for plugging a 3G/HSDPA modem which works as a backup WAN functioning as an automatic fail-over if the ADSL2+ connection breaks down. Its three built-in antennas, which effectively search for wireless signals and automatically adjust to the optimal connection after obstacles have been detected, guarantee no more dead zones. Additionally, the integrated IPSec VPN function allows you to encrypt connections of up to 16 VPN tunnels to securely transmit data over the Internet.

The Billion BiPAC 7402NX will be available in September from £125 ex VAT.

BiPAC 3010N Draft 802.11n Wireless USB Adapter

By combining the BiPAC 3010N with Billionís 802.11n ADSL router products, faster wireless speed and wider range can be assured. The BiPAC 3010N features industrial-strength WEP, WPA1/2 and WPA1/2-PSK encryption, so your wireless connectivity is protected with strong security. It also supports most Windows and Mac platforms. It is also compliant with both the 802.11g and 802.11b standards and 300Mbps RX PHY rate, 150Mbps TX PHY rate.
