Search engine giant Google has suddenly joined the somewhat crowded website browser market by launching its own open-source software known as Chrome, which it hopes will compete directly with the establish likes of Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera and Safari etc.

Google's Blog, Chrome is due to be released in beta form for Microsoft Windows users sometime later today; MAC and Linux distributions will follow soon. One of our readers (Bob) has also pasted an interesting summary of the browsers features on our forum -

The features are interesting, although the market its entering is already well dominated by several free and well respected browsers.
