ntl and Microsoft Xbox join forces to promote broadband and high speed gaming
From tomorrow, any new customer signing up to its 600Kbps or 1Mbps broadband services will receive a specially created Xbox gaming package, worth up to £200. The package includes an Xbox gaming console, Midtown Madness 3 game, Xbox Live Communicator headset and a free two-month subscription to Xbox Live ideal to demonstrate the speed and quality of an ntl Broadband connection.
Gaming is one of the most popular hobbies amongst ntl broadband users. According to ntl research 48% of broadband users play games online.
A high-speed broadband connection from ntl and Xbox Live revolutionises game play by combining the TV with a high-speed broadband Internet connection. Players can invite their online mates to come and join in a game or find and challenge other gamers from around the world. Gamers can even use the Xbox Live Communicator headset to talk with fellow gamers before and during games or to talk up your performance after a game. Gaming online through Xbox Live allows gamers to get exclusive features not available anywhere else such as new characters, new maps and new levels.
ntls 600Kbps and 1Mbps Broadband services offer high speed access to the Internet and a quick responsive gaming experience. The 600Kbps connection is up to 10 times faster than standard dial up Internet, while 1Mbps is up to 20 times faster than dial up. These services offer a fast always on connection for a set cost of £24.99 or £37.99 per month respectively.
Later this summer ntl plans to increase the speed of its broadband services at no extra cost. The 600Kbps service will increase to 750Kbps, while the 1Mbps service will increase to 1.5Mbps.
The ntl Broadband and Xbox promotion is available nation-wide and is subject to availability while stocks last.Credits to
