UKFast ISP Doubles Turnover

Posted: 19th Oct, 2004 By: MarkJ
Manchester-based ISP and web host UKFast has predicted a rise in turnover amounting to 95% by the end of 2004, thus nearly doubling its previous fortunes:

Manchester-based Internet hosting company UKFast expects its turnover to rise 95 per cent by the end of the year despite claims of saturation in the Internet Service Provider market place. Launched in 1999, the company's turnover has seen a steady year-on-year increase of around 20 per cent hosting web sites for high profile clients such as Littlewoods, Sale Sharks Rugby Club and the Australian High Commission.

The ISP industry first boomed in the mid-1990s as ambitious entrepreneurs recognised the fast growing demand for Internet access by businesses and private users alike. There are now over 100 ISPs in the UK alone and many companies offer free hosting sites and low cost broadband packages, making the Internet more accessible and affordable than ever before.

As the market matures hosting companies are being advised to diversify their product packages, as well as their client lists, if they want to stay ahead of the game.

Richard Nash, Sales Director of CSI Media says: “We have worked closely with UKFast for several years. Their tailor-made servers and networks have never failed us and the whole team works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure customer service always goes the extra mile.”

George Frewer, Sales Manager of UKFast adds: “I think customers nowadays focus more on quality and support rather than making purely price-based decisions. Over the years, we stayed competitive because we adapt our product range to customer needs and continuously invest in resources. While ISPs on the low end of the scale are now eaten up by big companies, we make sure, we remain on the cutting edge of technology, being passionate about the quality of service we provide.”

Lawrence Jones, Managing Director of UKFast says: “It has been a tremendous year and we are on target to almost double our turnover by the end of 2004, an achievement which has been made possible by word-of-mouth promotion alone. We have a strong team here, who are focused on investing a great deal of their energy on developing and expanding the services we offer. We are now able to offer 'a one-stop-shop' for the provision of both traditional ISP products such as web hosting and broadband, as well as web design and on-line marketing services such as Pay Per Clicks and Search Engine Optimisation - with all the substantial cost savings that this new service brings."
