UK ISP
Firenet has announced that they are moving everything into their new Head offices. Members are being asked to cancel with Affinity prior to signing up again with
Firenet on a free month so that they are not charged twice.
They are doing a phased integration of the members. Those members on 'Anytime Plus' are being asked to start the move over; others already on the in-house service are Anytime Plus 2.
This follows on from Affinity going into administration. All other members of
Firenet will be moved over the coming months:
Over the next few Months Firenet are going through changes to provide our customers a new service infrastructure. This will be done at our expense and we are writing this letter to you so we can avoid any un-necessary problems. A Mass transfer may cause problems such as customers being left behind, email problems, connection problems. Let me explain further.
The services will be changing from the old Affinity/Fujitsu services to a fully In-house service provided by Firenet in HQ with the help of other upstream providers, we are no longer contracting the services out to others who just do not know how to look after you all properly. We want to provide proper uninterrupted services with quick reliable no chargeable support.
We are therefore offering all our customers a chance from today fourth to migrate over to our services. The thing is you must cancel the subscription with the old agreement in order to proceed; there is a 30 days cancellation notice, so as such, we are offering all our customers a free month so you are not double charged. And once the service is stopped by affinity you move over to Firenet your true ISP with no extra cost to yourself.
Alan Castle CEO Firenet Ltd This is the start of
Firenets new infrastructure which will be built on the fact that everything will be in-house. They are also trying to find which service members want to tailor the service to the customers needs. More information @
