The UK ISP wing of One.Tel has furnished us with a new press release announcing an updated range of unmetered dialup packages, which start from £3.99 per month:
ONE.TEL LAUNCHES RANGE OF NEW INTERNET PACKAGES
The dial-up internet market received a welcome boost today following the launch of a unique range of connection packages that break the one size fits all mould currently the UK norm.
The new packages from One.Tel start at just £3.99 per month.
The way we use the internet in the UK has completely changed in the last five years, but the way we pay for connection has not, said Mike Holliday-Williams, commercial director of One.Tel.
When the one-size fits all model was introduced, people used the internet at different times of the day. The advent of gaming, for example, has driven a new demand from people who only log-on at night, so it makes sense to tailor a package that reflects their usage. We want to give our customers the option to not pay for something theyre not going to use.
After careful research by One.Tel into the amount of time people spend online and when they log-on, four new packages have been developed to appeal to the widest possible range of customers:
* Night Owl £3.99 per month
(10pm to 8am 7 days a week)
* Daylight Savings £6.99 per month
(8am to 6pm Monday to Friday)
* After Hours £9.99 per month
(6pm-8am Monday to Friday and all weekend)
* GameXtra £14.99 per month
(24/7 with 6 hour uninterrupted gaming or surfing)
In addition to the packages, customers can choose to opt for an additional service if they require gaming access:
* Gaming service: £2.99 per month
The launch comes hot on the heels of One.Tel being named as the UKs best consumer internet service provider at the ISPAs in January, an accolade the company hopes to exceed with the introduction of the new packages.
