The London football club Tottenham Hotspur is launching a new broadband wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) hotspot service called Spurs Connect at this weekends match against Leicester City:
Fans with a wireless-enabled device can access the internet anywhere in the stadium to check the scores from other matches, listen to internet radio commentary and to communicate with people.
Spurs Connect, which is provided by Wi-Fi company Canova Wireless, in partnership with ISP Bulldog Communications, will then cost £1.50 for 30 minutes, £10 for 24 hours access and £50 per month. It'll be interesting to see whether any fans can pull their eyes away from the game, even during half time, to wirelessly surf the Internet.
