Customers of AOL UK's broadband services can now enjoy the providers new '
Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?' game, although the top prize of £5,000 per month falls a few zeros short of the name sake:
AOL has teamed up with production company Celador to offer a broadband video version of the popular TV game show from early March to its members in the UK.
The game features video footage shot in the Millionaire studio to create the impression that the player is interacting with Chris Tarrant, who gives feedback after each question.
Contestants have to answer fifteen consecutive questions correctly to stand a chance of taking the top prize. Points are earned based on the speed of response for each correct answer and you loose points each time you use a Lifeline. The person with the highest points each week wins £250 and the person with the highest points each month wins £5,000.AOL users are given three free game credits each week, although extras can be gained at additional 'cost'. It's a clever idea, although not everybody is quite so keen on seeing more of Chris Tarrant =). More @
