Viatel Purchase ISP Netcom UK

Netcom is fondly remembered as one of the UKs first ISPs to offer an affordable (subscription based) 0845 local call rate dialup service.
Unfortunately since then the provider has done little to move with the times, seemingly choosing to ignore both the unmetered and broadband revolutions.
This could all be about to change following the announcement that Viatel, a Bermuda based Telco, has purchased the service for an undisclosed sum.
