Long-time AAISP customer. Just moved house and had a bunch of issues around the availability of FTTC. Got it sorted pretty quickly, because support staff at AAISP know what they're talking about. They're not sub-minimum wage drones whose entire existence is to frustrate you until you go away.

I can't go back to other ISPs. The dark patterns, the engorged advertising budget, the outsourced support, the complete lack of regard for customers as human beings. It's not worth it. AAISP costs more, but it's more than worth it.

I had a problem setting up my VOIP phone on my FTTP broadband, phoned technical support and they went into my router and sorted out my problem, all working within 5 minutes. I have a technical background and was seriously impressed.

Much cheaper than my previous mobile broadband and landline setup.
If you think A&A are expensive remember you get what you pay for.

Probably not for technophobes, but from my experience A&A are very helpful.

Found out by accident today that A&A have doubled my data allowance at no extra cost, no fuss, bother or contract changes, just more data.

If only Andrews and Arnold were running the country everything would just work as it should do!

Been with AA for a few years now, not the cheapest but rarely increase their price unlike one or two big names, very solid service good latency, if you have any problems, you can get to talk to someone in less than a minute in my experience but I have only contacted them a couple of times and that was to set up a VOIP service. I contacted them recently to upgrade to FTTP and that went seamlessly and I ma very happy with the service. Lots of info on my (son's) useage on the control panel. Hard to fault, THey seem more expensive but a lot of headline prices are for 6, 12 or 18 months and then default to a much higher price and of course don't forget the back haul.

This service provider is great in terms of reliability and customer service, but severely lacks in their usage limits.

There is no option for unlimited usage, and their limited usage is not enough for say, gamers who download and upload stuff often, content creators for similar reasons, and etc.

If you don't use your internet for intensive tasks then this broadband is great, otherwise, probably look elsewhere.

I'd battled my previous ISP for 12 months trying to get my appallingly slow broadband fixed.

In my case, the BT ADSL checker (www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com) estimated my minimum DOWN/UP as 9.0/1.2 Mbps. Actual speeds were 14/0.5. My previous ISP fought tooth and nail to not accept the upload as being a problem. They brought their best efforts to fight me rather than help me.

At the end of this sorry saga, CISAS ruled against the ISP stating that they had breached contract and failed in its duty of care, but still the ISP refused to fix the line (or rather, get Openreach to fix it).

Fortunately, the CISAS ruling got me out of the contract.
Goodbye and good riddance Vodafone. Hello AAISP...

On the second day of my contract with AAISP, they got a BT Openreach engineer visiting my home. He couldn't fix it and left with a "that's the best you'll get". AAISP persevered, and within two weeks (it'd have been sooner except for the Easter long weekend), Openreach visited again. Here is the result:-

Before DOWN/UP: 14/0.5 Mbps
After DOWN/UP: 50/10 Mbps

That was 18 months ago. Since then I've had a line down due to a duff port in the FTTC cabinet. AAISP got it fixed the next day.

The service from AAISP really is first class. When you ring support, you get straight through to someone who really knows stuff - no pretend "engineers" reading scripts.

A very comprehensive service for people who need all the techy bells and whistles.

I have been with AAISP for over twenty years. Excellent customer service and technical support (that isn't script driven). You get what you pay for.

My most recent experience was with a switch from FTTC to FTTP.

They set up the FTTP on the same account I have for FTTC. They sent me a router and set up a temporary IP address to use. Once OpenReach had installed the fibre, I was able to test it. The next day, I called and had a very short interaction with technical support, where they switched the FTTP and FTTC with each other, so that my public IP addresses were correctly routed to the FTTP.

The following day, all being OK, I ceased the FTTC account which had been running in parallel. I was charged just two days' overlap, unlike the full month required by some others.

They are a joy to use.

Gone back to AA after moving back to a BT area after a 12 year hiatus and so glad I have. Gone are the long waits on the phone to an ISP that doesn't care. Just hoping now that Openreach sort out FTTP in my area so I can get some decent speeds!

Openreach enabled my street for FTTP recently, but prior to that I had only one option (V....) to get a usable speed. Time to switch.
I have been with A&A for 4 weeks now, choosing them because of their reputation and no-nonsense pricing.
From my first enquiry, new fttp install, and the service performance going forward, everything has been dealt with promptly & professionally. I get the speeds I expected with no slowdowns. Great to have a router with extensive admin capabilities.
It is so refreshing to be able to directly call a department and speak to a helpful & capable person who is not following a script. This is how you get happy customers!

I'm just shy of a couple of months until my 21st anniversary of continuous broadband service from A&A (ADSL 500Kbps initially, then 2Mbps ADSL when that became available, then VDSL and bonded 2-line VDSL for the past few years).

A&A have been excellent in every way - no BS and very helpful support when things (BT and not A&A) went wrong; prices which have gone down (rather than up) over time; no apparent contention / slowdowns; giving me the technical options / information to tweak my settings until just right for me; their attitude towards censorship; technical updates as to what they're doing to upgrade their infrastructure etc.

Yes, A&A cost more but in this case you really do get what you pay for.
