Switched to Fibre from Broadband standard. Have to say although the download speed has increases, the latency is pretty much the same - meaning most of the time it doesnt feel any faster. The cabinet is in my garden though, so I was getting the best broadband in the village before I switched

Just wish I didnt have to pay for a crappy landline...

Title: The end
Some good some bad, the good is that once it worked it has stayed working at high speed with no problems............ however to get here I have a file about 6 inches thick with some of the strangest letters from allegedly senior BT managers I have ever seen. One was a printed version of the taped conversation I had had with another BT manager which he said proved that all was OK and what the hell was I complaining about!!
Anyway my contract is up next month and I am moving because I do not trust these people at all.

Ordered online, confirmed installation appointment online, received TV and BB equipment when promised (although why an engineer couldn't bring it I'm not sure), engineer turned up when promised, installed new master socket and tidied up old wiring, Infinity service works and I appear to be getting 66+Mbps on a 52Mbps Infinity service? (maybe because I have TV service from BT too?)

My cashback attempt from Quidco is having to be chased up as it didn't seem to track with BT, but apart from that all is fine, fingers crossed.

Things may yet all go pear shaped if I have a problem and have to phone India... And after the minimum contract I know I will have a battle (or will have to move) to keep the monthly bill down, but overall, it's pretty good so far...

If you're happy dealing with offshore call centres and explaining your issue all over again and to a different person each time, an ISP which ignores all your letters and pays no attention to your complaints, this ISP is for you.

After consistently failing to meet their guaranteed and contracted speeds, I terminated the contract; spent endless hours on their LiveChat service, had written several times to complain (all letters ignored) and all I got were repeated calls from an Indian Call Centre asking if my complaint had been cleared or not.

BT are now trying to say I terminated early and want to charge for the remainder of the contract. My legal advice is that I terminated in accordance with legislation and BT's own terms and conditions if they could be bothered to read them. So, off to court...

Made a serious mistake moving to this shower.

Title: Crooks
To all BT customers, check your bills.
I have several BT lines and internet contracts. Upon reading other customers bad BT reviews I decided to check my bills. I had one line, which did not exist, that BT had charged me for 9 years. Another line had
'a single line entry' ( means an advert ), which I never requested and had paid for two years. Another line was charged at a quarterly rate, but charged every month. BT's common response to these and other errors was consistent. I should have checked my bills.
The overcharges run into several thousand pounds, with little hope of any redress, short of legal action.
I am not alone, on every review site, BT scores incredibly low. The whole company from the lowliest telephonist to the upper managers are trained to be evasive and to lie, to their customers, usually with a very charming attitude. Don't be fooled, check your bills and complain immediately. You may not get your money back. But you can refrain from losing any more.

Title: Correct
I was dissapointed when I couldn't get Virgin Media 'Fiber' in my flat so opted for BT which had aesthetically pleasing hardware and TV software.

I struggled to get 70mbs at first but the 4K TV worked fine, and then I purchased a netgear Nighthawk modem/routeur which instantly increased the speed over the HomeHub and was also compatible with the TV.

All in all pleased with the service.

Switched from Sky to BT back in October 2015, got a great deal with cashback and free BT sports, then they put the price up £1 but offered me an upgrade for £2.50 to Infinity. So now paying £26 for 52mbs, Line rental and BT Sport on an 18 month contract. Only had to phone once and got straight through, never had any speed or wireless issues either.

In a rural perspective since having only 7/8 mb ASDL people should be critical of my review.

BT has been the best ISP in the Lincolnshire Wolds area where I live.

I have reached 38-40 mb on downloads (4480 kb's).
There have been no issues streaming video content.

The only problem BT has is it will cut out around 10pm to 2am for about a min. Apart from that it is decent.

There are always offers on for this product via Quidco and on the BT website. Its worth combining both to get a good cheap deal.

I intend to get BT again as soon as I can be seen as a new customer again.

I moved to BT Infinity 3 months ago, from Sky Fibre connection. I'd been happy with the Sky connection as it was fast and stable, however BT were offering double the speed for a fraction more per month.

Sadly, BT have not been anywhere near as good as Sky in terms of connection reliability.

The speed is excellent when it's connecting, however I've found the connection has suffered drops - several disconnections every day, compared to around 4 that I could remember in two whole years with Sky.

I contacted BT to complain and they said the line came back OK, so it must be an issue with the Home Hub 5. So they sent me another one, and said this would resolve the issue.

The second Home Hub 5 was even worse. The number of disconnections stayed the same, however now I could no longer connect my Xbox One to the router via Wi-Fi. No matter what I tried, including a power cycle on the console and restarting the router, it would connect by say there was no internet connection. In addition, mobile apps such as the Facebook app would no longer refresh.

Happily, following a further complaint, BT have allowed me to leave 3 months into a 12 month contract without an early termination fee, and I am heading straight back to Sky.

With this I have learned how true the old saying it, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I am grateful they are allowing me to break the contract without a penalty, however the reliability of the service they have provided was simply unacceptable.
