Title: Best yet!
Those used to dealing with certain big ISP's & some small concerns should be warned in advance that Surfanytime is far from normal.
It provides a service which is just outstanding. Even when there are problems with an installation [not due to their errors] they work hard to put things right. They have names - you talk to the same people after a swift call answer - people who remember you or if they don't know how to find out the info fast.
The people on the phones are consistant in providing a service second to none - Danny in particular took on board personally my problems recently - but they really are all very good!! The service itself is just what you want fast realible and reasonably priced for the standard it gives you - ie unlimited that means unlimited, fast that means fast...
I am not by any means new to the internet - but I have yet to find any service provider that comes close to Surfanytime...
Excellent...

I must admit i was a little concerned about Titans new 24meg version of their surf 8 package.

I have a wopping 24,242 connection speed and 932kbps upload speed.

I recieve 100GB usage and a rolling 1 month contract.

I am really happy and would highly reccomend Titan
to any customer that wants a relaible connection.

Title: Great ISP
Was a Titan customer for about 4 years, since them I was with them on their old Entanet packages and then on their C&W 24Mbs LLU offering and now no more.

Yes it has happened I have moved into a rural town where I can’t even get a phone service and can just barely use my T-mobile wireless dongle arghhhhhhhh!!!!

Anyway Titan good ISP highly recommended, and nice people to chat with.

Been with them for over 1.5 years now. Phones answered within 5 minutes.

I've noticed you have to call within office hours (10-5 week days) to get through to Titan (not Enta) staff to get proper support/sales. This was brought up in another review, moving to the new wholesaler (C&W) was not a scam, the cost is necessary for all LLU connections.

Still on the old Business 90GB Enta contract for the cost/usage benefit, the whole IPSC problem seems to have been settled now.

For a 4km long line I get a stable 3.5Mb which is what I got before the whole IPSC problem.

Before IPSC, I got 3.5Mb when rebooting ~11am, now anytime I get 4000+Kbps sync rate which is very helpful due to the poor BT equipment at the exchange.

UPDATE:

As of Titan leaving Entanet and going with O-Bit, pings are terrible (hundreds) and Titan aren't answering their phones (August 2009 onwards), non-HTTP traffic is also throttled, eventually they moved to a pipe shared with Vispa, this also had throttling of non-HTTP traffic, contacted by Titans owner a few times, lied through his teeth, never fixed the problems, site still hasn't been revamped as he said it would be (last year).

Review has been updated to reflect latest service.

I left recently.

Title: Good
I've waited 6 months so I now have good experience of Titan and - they're ace. Line speed could be better but it doesn't help being so far from the exchange - don't think I can blame Titan for that. Basically it just works. Unlike when I was with BT when it reliably did not. I have rung, twice I think, and I was stunned. You speak to a human being. Who knows what he's talking about and doesn't fob you off. 'mazing.
But unfortunatley i have moved o sky which is cheaper.

I was with TitanADSL for 2 years. In the beginning they were OK. The internet speed was standard for my line ~2.5mbps. The support was normal. But I was under the illusion that I was paying the extra premium over the larger providers because the speed and support was better.

Six months ago I had packet loss on my line. Titan are very hard to contact on phone; they are always engaged and do not have a call queue facility and no way to leave a message. Eventually they asked the usual of me - plug into master socket, change the filters, reboot, etc. I bought 2 modems on their request. Each time the packet loss was still there and very high pings.

I found no desire in them to properly solve my problem. Each time they asked me to jump through new hoops, never determined to solve the issues, which were clearly on their end. 6 months later the packet loss was worse than ever. A 2 min Youtube in 240p would take 10 mins to load. Pages would have to be refreshed multiple times in order to load. The final straw was when I contacted them a month ago and they pretended like this was the first they had heard of my problems and requested all the same tests again - traceroute to bbc, different router, etc. I had tried 4 different routers in all and installed a filtered faceplate. I even had my home wiring shielded. None of this helped.

Meanwhile I had been throwing the Sky broadband fliers into the bin for two years. Then recently I saw one and thought ‘It’s half the price and can't possibly be worse than this’. I signed up. A week later it was installed.

My internet is at 4mbps - nearly twice the speed of Titan (verified by speedtest.net). There is zero packet loss. And after a support person contacted ME I asked to be put on their low ping gamer profile and now my pings are three times lower than on Titan. I can watch HD Vimeo streams in realtime whereas even before my packet loss problem I would have struggled with an SD video stream in realtime. I even logged in from the router I used with Titan and everything still works great!

So to summarise: If you pay more you don’t necessarily get a higher quality product. The Sky broadband deal is HALF the price of Titan and is Unlimited. It is TWICE as fast – real speed. It has ZERO packet loss whereas before I had 30%. The ping is now 30ms vs 100ms and the support staff iare FAR more helpful. No I do not work for Sky. I am a genuine customer and this is a true story.

I really think paying for Titan is a false uneconomy. They were expensive, slow and unhelpful. In the end I proved that the problem I had for 6 months really was with their system.

Has per usual another trouble free month 3 years on. Fast speeds (as always) and when you need helps you can actually speak to a English speaking human being who will bend over backwards to help you get the problem sorted.Which is a very refreshing change, than having to deal with some knowledge-less ***** in an overseas call centre.

Using Murphx LLU with Titanadsl for a week now and all I can say its the best move from Vispa "BT Wholesale" I have done. With a rock solid download of 1.6 Mb/s in the evening and 2Mb/s night/early morning. When I have contacted Titanadsl they don't always pick up the phone or they always say they had problems with the phone system but Abs has always phoned back within 30mins and given me good advice and good deals

Title: Good ISP
We were with Titan for 18 months on their unlimited product which to be honest has been good, we have moved home and were unable to get Titans unlimited service in our new area.
The past 18 Months have been pretty good, solid 12Meg connection, good speeds, price could be better, customer service is good.
Prior to that was with Plusnet and speeds were dire so im not going to bring that up again as it will only wind me up.
If you can get Titan and can afford the price then go for it.

Damon

Can't remember the last time my internet was unavailable. I consistently receive a speedy line faster than estimated by BT, and the support is second to none. You get exactly what you pay for: Worth every penny! Brilliant for my office connection.
