Title: No Worries
Excellent service and support (If needed)
Not quite the cheapest but still worth every penny.
Recently neighbourhood had a broadband dropout because of cabinet works. Back up within 20 minutes whereas other ISP's were struggling late into the evening according to FB.
Very reliable

I don't know how long I have been with iDnet, well over 15 years ... enough said :-)
I am very happy to review iDnet. They have been an outstanding company over the years.
Why?
1. Phone calls answered by a knowledgeable person within a few rings on the very odd occasion that I have had to call them.
2. No jumping through hoops to let them know who you are.
3. Ultra reliable connection.

Let me give you an example of the service.
I was already an existing customer and wanted broadband on another line at a different address.

Ring ring
iDnet - "hello iDnet"
Me - "hi could I have broadband at this number 123456789
iDnet - "what's your user name?"
Me - "ABCDE"
iDnet - "Let me check"
2 min wait
iDnet - "yes no problem when would you like it to start"
Me - "As soon as you can please"
iDnet - "ok all done"
Me - "when will it be"
iDnet - "It's on now"

and that is unbeatable!!!
Simply outstanding in a sea of ISP mediocrity or worse.

We have been with IDNET since 2011 - Excellent customer experience throughout!
We upgraded to Superfast Basic in 2020 to access the Openreach FTTC land line.
Based on the previous good performance of IDNET that included the land line number and a mesh wifi system.
Everything has worked perfectly from startup, supplying the best available speed from the Openreach cabinet.
The switch over went without a hitch; the Billion router arrived in the post in good time and when it was plugged in it started supplying broadband without so much as pressing a button, and has continued ever since without needing attention.
We know from our earlier experience with our old system (not supplied by IDNET) that we can have confidence IDNET techies can fix any issues quickly and with courtesy - we like how they will keep ringing back to make sure it's okay.
No amount of price cutting by other ISP's is going to drag us away from this level of service. This is the way to go.

I changed to IDNet about seven years ago after trying a number of other well-known providers. The contrast in technical knowledge and speed of service was remarkable.
They are so helpful and a pleasure to work with. Their advice and interventions following a move from Essex to Cheshire where line problems needed rectification fixed what could have been a long-running wrangle with OpenReach. I am most grateful they are behind me. The speed markdown is the result of a poor quality line which affects all properties in this semi rural location.

So blessed we switched the autumn before lockdown. Internet has been reliable every since, except for the first couple of weeks - they did try to blame my router but they made up for that by lending us a standard router and then chasing BT when that didn't work either (it was actually the support that sold me - my test for prospective ISPs is to phone tech support at the weekend and I was surprised to get straight through to a tech with time to chat).

IDNet has been a significant step up from John Lewis in terms of reliability, which in turn was a giant step up from TalkTalk.

It is expensive and I would have liked more bandwidth for my money, but it's just been so important to have everything working reliably during lockdown. Well worth it.

I wouldn't want them to get too big but I always promote IDNet to friends because I think they're great.

I am a residential customer and my experience and thinking is 100% in line with BradfordsBoyWonder a review or two down.

The best thing about them is their service and the fact that you can always speak to a real person; not only that, but more often than not that person will themselves know the answer.

Well worth paying just a little bit more for piece of mind (I switched to them originally having taken my previous supplier to the Ombudsman following a takeover!).

I have been with IDNET since 2010 and have been very pleased. I use a 'copper ADSL' connection and I test the line regularly, I'm getting 12-13 Mbps which is fine for the 2 users here. Upload speeds of around 0.9 Mbps might not be enough for some.
Tech support is VG. They answer quickly and respond to your query. If they promise to phone back they do!. Excellent.
I also have the phone line and calls with IDNET, again excellent.
Billing is per month and comes with no surprises.
Highly recommended ISP.

I have been with iDNET for about 10 years. I chose it because of its good reviews. It has continued to provide good consistent service throughout the 10 years. One thing I hate about the modern world is hanging on the end of the phone for 20 minutes. That is where iDNET really scores. If ever I have had a problem I have always had a quick response either immediately or within one minute. The advisers are very helpful and friendly. My FTTC service is fast and reliable. I look forward to pure fibre one day but it doesn't seem to be available yet.
A few years ago I transferred my phone from BT to iDNET which went very smoothly. Again the service with phone queries has been excellent.
All this is dearer than the average but well worth it in my opinion.

I cannot fault iDNet in all they have done for me over the years. When I moved onto the FTTP service on 2020, despite the covid problems they (and Openreach of course) did everything they said they would.

I always recommend them when invited to suggest a new ISP to friends.
