Title: Useless O2

Tried to migrate to O2 in May, after 2 weeks of hearing nothing gave them a ring.

They said I had not gave them a MAC Code which was untrue and after a few minutes he found it in the application

2 weeks more of hearing nothing gave them another ring only to be told that the MAC Code was no good and to get another one.

My current ISP said the MAC code was OK

Rang O2 again and they did agree the code was OK but did not know what was wrong.

So I gave them another week to sort it out and after hearing nothing again in this time rang them again and cancelled the order

TOTALLY USELESS, WASTE OF TIME, AVOID

I was with Tiscali, who gave very little, promised the earth, and took as much as possible, Eventually they took away my broadband activation by mistake leaving me totally offline.

O2 promised to set me up with 8 Megs in 7 days and they did exactly what it said on the tin. Very professional, friendly, and slick.

Moved from ilacsiT - because when something went wrong they were clueless to fix it.

O2 couldnt be more different. Order process went like a dream. Stuff happened when they said it would.

Only gripe is the basic interface to the router is a bit noddy  - but you can use your own or it does open up a bit  when logged on as SuperUser

Line is solid (for me) with great download/upload speeds

But the best thing is their Customer Support. Had an issue last week which was sorted out very very quickly, by people who seemed to know what they were doing and not just following a script.

CS are happy to spend time with you on the phone (yes you can get through to them easily on an 0800 number) to resolve issues and not just fob you off to clear the call

Very impressive - seem to have got right what others ( ilacsiT ,  LLED etc) have got so so wrong. Hope this is maintained as they expand.

I would recommend to others without hesitation.  Thanks

Title: O2

Since leaving Fast4 Broadband due to the poor service I have no complaints against O2. They are a very reliable ISP and I have yet not even contacted technical support for any faults.

Regarding ping, i can now get pings of 45 when playing multiplayer games as opposed to fast4 where it was over 100.

The speed of serivce is excellent and to be honest theres no need to contact technical support since it is so reliable.

All I can say is that anyone who wants a good and excellent ISP should now switch to O2 and the price is also great.

I've been with o2 Broadband since the start of the year, so have a few months experience under my belt to make a review.

I had quite a few reservations after leaving the perfection of Zen for o2 but needn't have worried. At Zen I had reliability, good speeds and great CS but paid a premium price for 20GB bandwidth a month.

The differences with o2 are all positive in so much as that i'm now paying less then a third of the price and have an unlimited bandwidth connection. I think they call that a no brainer.

Decided to get O2 broadband as I have a contract phone and the discount was a nice perk.

Router arrived on  time and migration was quick and painless with the sms updates being very informative. Was up and running in no time and synched at the full 16M which made me a happy bunny.

Haven't had to contact customer support yet but it's a freephone number so can't complain.

Managed to get VOIP to work as well which is a nice bonus, though I don't think they're shipping the 780WL anymore.

Would certainly recommend!

moved from eclipse 31/3/08 paying ?18 to eclipse for flex 500 now ?10 for sky max package, getting 3.5mb to 6.5mb on a poor bt line so cant complain, customer service level one not very convincing but if you get past them to cst customer solutions team you get british, competent staff, right price for a good speed and service only down is the sky (must be used) router

edit now been active 1 month moved mastersocket eliminating 30 meteres internal wires connecting with lan not wireless now get 13mb-14mb wow wow wow

Very happy with o2 so far having been with them for 2 months now after a horrible time with tiscali and real hassle moving - I\'ve gone from a 1MEG connection to getting 3MEG ! Had to use support for the first time today because my router has died it took only 5 minutes to get through to someone who could help and after running tests for an hour theyve agreed to send me a replacement router but it will take up to a week apparently but for the money you can\'t go wrong although a week is a bit long to be without broadband :-(
