I have been on broadband for 6 years now, and changed ISPs 7 times on adsl. I have had experience with ones like Zen, Newnet, Entanet NDO, not rubbish. TalkTalk compares well with them in regards to speed and reliability. As you may expect p2p will be slower, but is still very usable!.
I have had no need to use support on any service, but I tried on TalkTalk when I had a minor issue and support was 1st class. If 40GB a month will do you why kid yourself and pay more?.
moved from eclipse 31/3/08 paying ?18 to eclipse for flex 500 now ?10 for sky max package, getting 3.5mb to 6.5mb on a poor bt line so cant complain, customer service level one not very convincing but if you get past them to cst customer solutions team you get british, competent staff, right price for a good speed and service only down is the sky (must be used) router
edit now been active 1 month moved mastersocket eliminating 30 meteres internal wires connecting with lan not wireless now get 13mb-14mb wow wow wow
Well now it\'s FAR FAR worse than it\'s ever been before. It lags horribly, if it ever connects at all. Today my wife has been at home trying to connect since 9am this morning with no luck so far (it\'s now 2:20pm). \"The remote computer did not respond\" I called Orange who said there was no problem with the connection. They were quite happy to pass me onto an 0905 tech support number at 50p per minute. Nothing wrong at my end! Happily my contract is ending next month, so it\'s goodbye forever Freeserve/Wanadoo/Orange. I don\'t care how many more name changes there are, I won\'t be back - EVER.
Their customer services and tech support staff are some of the rudest and most incompetent I've ever encountered.
Avoid this like the plague.
