Awful customer service, will not refund excess charges.
I left Virgin Media in March, they continued to take money from my account for 3 months and assured me this was normal and not to cancel the direct debit as they would refund all excess charges. It is now August and after many phone calls and false promises I still haven't received a penny of the nearly £120 they took after they stopped providing me with a service. The last time I called they said they couldn't do it direct as it has been so long and I'd receive a cheque by post, one month later, nothing!! So now I am having to go via the small claims court for the money plus interest, so do yourself a favour and NEVER NEVER EVER become a customer of these crooks, it just isn't worth it. It's a shame as the actual broadband is very good.

Not sure what's happened to this company, used to be fairly good. I have never had such an intermittent BB connection - every few weeks there's a problem. All ISPs get faults but the difference is, when Virgin media has a fault you could easily be without service for many days (on one occasion 8 days for me). Clear policy in place of not answering calls when the price rises come through. It took me 5 days, 18 phone call attempts and around 50 text messages to be able to submit my cancellation. Vast majority of front line staff in Philipines but aren't empowered to do anything useful, just answer general questions. Speed used to be better than the DSL providers but that's no longer the case, and Tivo is terrible (wait 60 seconds for each netflix screen to appear??? I think not!). The other providers have finally caught up and now provide better value for mone, same speeds and more compelling TV services.

Title: AMAZING!
We have been with Plusnet for 4 years, their deal for us was terrible. Because our street was just cabled with Virgin Media we moved to them. £39 a month for M200, Talk More Anytime, Mixit TV and 5GB SIM. Plusnet was the same price for 35Mbps and Anytime Calls with a 1.5GB SIM. We have always had constant broadband issues with Plusnet, they promised it would get better, it never did. We have never had a single problem with Virgin Media though it has only been 1 week exactly after our installation. I would recommend Virgin Media to everyone, 10/10 customer service and it’s much easier to see bills online.

Terrible Customer Care!!
Called on July 16th and agreed a new package instead of leaving.
Received a mobile sim as part of and cancelled my contract elsewhere and ported number over. Didnt receive my new hub so called again to double check - yeah all fine should arrive soon.
Still no hub so called again - Sorry Mr Gavin we cant give you the deal we agreed!
Not only that but they put my normal bill up from £53.99 up to £89.39 with a new activation fee and package change admin fee!
Asked for a call from complaints multiple times - apparently they sent me a letter 17 days ago that never arrive and nobody has even bothered to call me.
I've called them at least 8 times to chase the situation and nobody seems to care.
I was promised a call yesterday within 2 hours - its now been almost 24hrs and no phone call.
Best part is... i know someone on the exact package they say they cant give me. I've been a loyal customer and referrer but this has ruined the brand for me.
What a nightmare, i think i would get better customer service from Sky, NowTV, BT etc... Virgin you should be ashamed. DIRECT DEBIT CANCELLED!
If you cant even bother calling your customers who are unhappy, lets see how quickly you call for your payment!
