Have been with Metronet for 2 years on PAYG Option 2. 8 months ago I received an email stating my line speed would be upgraded automatically. It never happened. Recently I found myself constantly hitting the 7gb upper limit. Everything (web, email, P2P etc.) slowed to a crawl. I decided to change ISPs.
Next day I received a phone call offering various things to keep my custom: free month, speed upgrade and \'more suitable\' package from Metronet or PlusNet, ie. nothing which was not available to a new customer. After agreeing to these I had to chase them to get it done, and waited 10 mins for phone to be answered. Will leave after free month.
