I have had ongoing problems with TalkTalk ever since they took over my Tiscali account.
It had all been working just fine for several years until TalkTalk got involved.
Earlier this year they messed up the direct debit, then cut off my broadband for several days due to thier own mistake. They then compounded the first error by doing it all again the next month, plus also taking way too much out from my bank account on the direct debit. All this of course meant I spend a lot of time either on the phone or email to try and sort out thier mistakes.
When I finally asked for a MAC code to go elswhere they offered me compensation of 3 months free with no obligations (no contract) beyond that, which I accepted and now sorely regret doing so as they have since gone back on thier initial promises and now say they will only give 2 months, and have also messed up giving this less than agreed amount of compensation too (and still keep taking the money from my bank account).
They can't get thier billing right at all and won't give the agreed compensation either because thier 'system' won't allow it. I suggested they could pay the money back instead but they won't do that either (as i presume it's not on the script they read from) and I'm still wondering if I'll ever get the agreed compensation.
It had all worked quite well before TalkTalk took over, I would not recommend them to anyone - ever!
