We were pressured into a two-year contract (1 year free, 1 year paid), pitched as a trial while we had an existing provider (SKY). The service was severely deficient, barely working outside of one room of the house, forcing us to continue paying for our SKY internet because we could not rely on the Community Fibre connection. We attempted to cancel during the free year due to this unacceptable performance but were told termination was not possible.
The moment the free year ended, the contract automatically renewed, locking us into the entire paid second year for a connection we cannot use. Community Fibre has trapped us in a cycle that feels like a scam: we are paying full price for a service that fails to deliver, and they refuse a reasonable exit. Furthermore, when we asked to schedule an automatic cancellation for the contract's end, this was also refused, leading us to fear we will be locked in indefinitely.
This is a predatory business model.
