We moved house in the middle of 2025 but couldn't migrate our Gigaclear service (excellent for nine years – no downtime and consistent high speeds; highly recommended) to the new property. The only choice was an Openreach fibre connection so using ISPreview I sought out a new ISP.

Emailed four choices with relevant questions (migration time, actual expected speeds, IP allocation and so on). All four came back but Unchained provided the most comprehensive answers as well as other relevant suggestions. They also noted the migration time could be as little as 48 hours whereas others were quoting up to 14 days. They also provided detailed information to pass to our vendor to ensure the service could go live asap.

All this tipped the balance to Unchained and I was happy to sign up with them. As we know, the process of getting a property sale/purchase never runs smoothly so we ended up exchanging and completing within five days of each other. This didn't phase Unchained and we were amazed to have a working broadband service by 7pm of the day we moved in.

The service since has been exemplary. Customer support is immediate and the speeds are what we would expect. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for an Openreach fibre connection, expert knowledge and superb support. You get what you pay for – they are not the cheapest but definitely the best I've used in 30 years.
