Cable giant Virgin Media UK, which supplies broadband ISP, television, fixed line phone and mobile services to consumers and businesses around the country, has signed a new
multi-year extension contract with
Telindus Ltd (the UK ICT arm of
Belgacom) to
manage the service and customer support of its network.
Paul Buttery, Chief Customer and Networks Officer at Virgin Media, said:
"It is absolutely imperative to our customers and to us that our network is working at peak performance at all times. The level of service and commitment offered to us by Telindus has helped us achieve this over a number of years and we believe that Telindus is the perfect partner to help us grow our business in the future."
Telindus will provide the operator with a
Single Point of Contact (SPOC) managed service to support the company’s data network platforms from
Alcatel Lucent,
Cisco,
Juniper Networks and
Motorola. The firm will also help to deliver Virgin's services to residential and business customers alike.
