Cable operator Virgin Media has begun offering
3 months of free broadband service across the majority of their dual (broadband and phone) and triple-play (broadband, phone and tv) bundles.
Free installation (worth £49.95) is also included and those that take a TV service will get an additional
£50 account credit with Free TiVo box activation (if you take TiVo).
Prices normally start at £14.50 per month for Virgin's entry-level
up to 10Mb broadband and phone package (free for the first 3 months), which includes the above offers alongside a free wireless Super Hub router, unlimited downloads (traffic management), free security and unlimited weekend calls as standard.
Sadly
Virgin Phone Line rental must also be added for an additional £13.90 a month and there's an
18 month contract to consider. On top of that Virgin's cable service is only available to about half of the country and that's mostly in urban areas. Otherwise their package speeds go up to 100Mbps (soon to be 120Mbps).
