Some customers of Sky’s standalone Sky Stream TV product, which uses your UK broadband ISP and WiFi connection to stream their on-demand video content and live TV channels directly to your existing TV set (without a satellite dish), may be displeased to learn that you now need a much faster minimum download speed.

Liverpool-based network builder and UK ISP FACTCO has decided to extend their existing network reach by signing a new partnership agreement with a fellow alternative network provider, FullFibre Limited. This will enable them to sell services to homes and businesses over both networks.

Fife-based broadband ISP Gigaloch, which in 2020 began building their own Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network across a few remote rural communities in Cheshire (England) and Perthshire (Scotland), has secured their first institutional financing round and are now aiming to cover up to 200,000 premises (mostly in Scotland).

5g mobile broadband users uk

A new OnePoll survey of 1,000 UK adults, which was commissioned by Green Smartphones and focused on those who reported using 5G to get online via their mobile phones, has claimed that 80% of people are satisfied with the broadband speeds and coverage offered by their 5G service (9% were dissatisfied, while 12% were undecided).

Sources have informed ISPreview that UK ISP Sky Broadband (Sky), which sells FTTC and FTTP packages via Openreach’s national network, are aiming to introduce a new WiFi 6 capable router for their residential customers sometime around the end of Q3 and early Q4 2023.
