BISCit Targets 24Mbps Broadband

ISP BISCit has announced four new residential broadband packages based around BT's new 8Mbps (MAX) ADSL product, with plans to deliver a 24Mbps service sometime during 2006. Prices start at £14.99 for a 3GB capped package:

The company also announced its download speed roadmap for the coming year and aims to deliver up to 24Mbps to the door of each new BISCit Home customer. BISCit expects to start transitioning new customers automatically to 8Mbps in Spring 2006. In the meantime, it will provide the fastest available from local exchanges.

Common to all deals is download speeds - the fastest currently available and then up to 8Mbps, plus free modem, free anti-virus and spam eliminators, and no migration costs.

But BISCit's real WOW differentiator is called BISCit Home Plus, a suite of interactive web-based tools presented in a neat integrated dashboard. And they're also free in whatever deal you choose. Customers can log in to BISCit's hosted on-demand service and use the dashboard tools to create and maintain a personal online Activity Centre. They can create personal web sites with limited or Internet-wide access, any number of interactive rooms for friends to share music, files and images, and make personal diaries and planners available online to chosen friends. BISCit Home customers can also send and receive webmail, exchange address books with whoever they want, and run and moderate personal or public chat forums. All this and much more.
