ISP's To Merge - V Two One & Biscit
By: MarkJ - 10 August, 2006 (8:25 AM)

UK ISP's V Two One (V21) and Biscit have announced their intention to merge the two providers over a 60 day period from start to completion:

V21's 43,000 customers will start to be offered bundled phone and broadband packages that are currently available to people on Biscit.

Paterson said he hopes the merger will also the companies to compete with companies such as Carphone Warehouse, Orange and Sky.

"Our goal is to provide V21's customers with the products that will slash hundreds of pounds out of their voice and broadband costs each year," Biscit's chief executive officer, Hugh Paterson, said.

The Web-User item carries very little detail and at the time of writing we could find no new press releases on either ISP's site. It's unclear how deep the merger goes and whether or not this will lead to a single brand further down the road. More when we have it.
