Onyx Internet has followed other ISP's by reducing the cost of its business broadband SDSL (same speed both ways) products, yet most providers don't offer a 2Mbps connection for just £150 (use to be £370) per month!:
As from today we will be offering 2MB SDSL from as little as £150 per month which is a massive saving of £2,640 a year on our previous prices.
Our Sales and Marketing director, Neil Stephenson commented on the price decreases: "Traditionally the cost of SDSL connections made them a viable mid-band alternative to leased lines. However, they were still relatively expensive, often making them beyond the reach of many small and medium sized businesses. These significant decreases in the price of SDSL provide an attractive opportunity for companies looking for added functionality from their Internet connection, without having to pay the high prices for leased lines."
Both 'Business' and 'Managed' services operate off a 10:1 contention ratio, with the 'Managed' 2Mbps option costing £175 per month. 512Kbps and 1Mbps SDSL options start from £115 and £130 per month respectively.
The hefty reductions should help to push lower end SDSL broadband closer to the affordability of even the smallest businesses.
