When to rely on your internet connection the last thing you want is to be worrying about what will happen if (as will happen from time to time) things go wrong. Migrating to AAISP and getting things set up I've had to call them a few times (technical, sales and accounts). On every occasion the call has been answered within seconds (one I received an apology because he wasn't actually sat at his desk and it rang three or four times) and every person I've spoken to knew their stuff. Because I moved across in a non-standard manner there was an accounting issue which led to them issuing an incorrect bill. I called and within an hour the DD had been cancelled and new invoice, DD and statement issued.

Yes you may pay more for AAISP, but I think of the extra as an insurance premium.

I was sick and tired of waiting in the cue to talk with my ISP, so paid a little more, boy oh boy Andrews & Arnold (AAISP) are fantastic, strait though. not only that the service is second to none. The tools to look after your connection are all to hand, not that I know what half of them do.

If you like dealing with real human beings rather than level 1 robots reading from a script, and you want honest no-bullshit answers, Andrews & Arnold is your ISP. In most cases you'll be getting the same unbundled BT connection, but with no censorship and an excellent management console which gives much more visibility into the performance of your line.

Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Title: AA Review
I switched to AA because of slow speeds with Sky. AA have lived up to my expectations. The customer service is very good but its the ability to view data about your own line and the ability to run BT line tests and so forth that really set it apart. Cut a long story short AAISP quickly got me up to reasonable line speeds. I recommend them to anyone who will listen!

Swapped to AA based on online reviews mentioning how good they were at sorting out line problems and getting Open Reach to respond.

They have been even better than I hoped.

My previous ISP (Zen) had taken over a month to not address a fault in my line which was getting steadily worse (water ingress to a damaged underground cable).

Whilst this should really be a review of AA rather than a slamming of Zen (who used to be quite good) I swapped to AA in a fit of pique after spending over 1/2 an hour in a call queue (chargeable from mobile - cost over £12 for the pleasure of listening to hold music)

After eventually getting through there was no news on any timeline for a fix (despite this being the date they had said earlier they would know by) and
to add insult to injury since the phone line had totally failed by this point (no dial tone) when I asked to have calls diverted to my mobile was told that this was impossible since the original fault had been reported as a broadband fault - the only way I could get my calls diverted would be to cancel the broadband fault (and scheduled BT OR engineer visit) and create a new phone fault which would send me to the back of the queue again.

At this point I decided to give up with Zen and find an alternative supplier - picked AAISP based on good reviews and they really came through.

They were helpful, willing to accept a line which was currently in fault, gave sensible suggestions on how to get a temporary service working and they got BT OR to turn up with a replacement cable within a week of taking over the account.

Very much worth the small amount extra per month for this level of service when you do need it.

I've been with AAISP for about 2 years. Two months ago my tiny West Wales hamlet was upgraded to fibre. I was the first subscriber on the cabinet and it didn't work on changeover day, but the instantly available (by IRC and phone) AAISP staff members identified the problem (OpenReach had wired it up wrongly) and a visit from the white van men was booked within 48 hours. It was sorted.

AAISP staff don't treat you like an idiot and in return, when you use a technical term, you can be confident that they know what you mean. I had been with BT for donkeys years before joining AAISP and compared to AAISP even the BT business section was a chore to deal with.

I also use the AAISP VOIP service which is cheap and reliable, somewhat offsetting the broadband cost.

I'm sure I could find a slightly cheaper ISP, but I'm convinced there isn't a better one, and the price difference is well worth it, for the peace of mind and reliability of service.

Right from the first contact with this company I can honestly say that the level of service has been superb. Following installation by BT I needed some advice so I emailed them, and was shocked to have an immediate response! No having to wait for hours or days even as has been my previous experience, wont mention any names! Both Michael Barrett, sales advisor, and Jamie Trenchard, technician, provided all the help I required and I was up and running in no time at all.
It is very refreshing to find a company that actually cares about its customers and provides excellent customer service. Keep up the good work, I would not hesitate to recommend you to others.

Anthony Record.

As a home-base small business, I have used AAISP since 2003. I wanted a totally reliable service, with clear pricing, readily available information - for example, about reasons for slower transmission speeds and (very rare) outages. I am not particularly IT savvy and so wanted a company which was willing to answer 'idiot' questions!

Whilst AAISP is not the cheapest offer in town, I was prepared to pay a little more for quality, reliability and the ability to contact someone (on the phone or via e-mail) who would respond promptly.

I have enjoyed 13 years of trouble-free service from AAISP. Their Michael Barrett was particularly helpful in helping me set up new bradband and VOIP services following a recent move of premises to a remote part of the UK and patiently answered questions and guided me through the installation process. A very different experience to that which I encountered with a two-lettered national ISP whose administrative inefficiency beggared belief!

Title: Superb
Excellent service, technical staff.

I moved house with them also, and had to cancel and re-arrange the phone and broadband move and it was handled simply and easily with no fuss or additional charges.

I moved to AAISP after using Virgin fibre to premises. This wasn't available through AAISP where I live so had to go for Fibre to the cabinet (the last bit of wire is copper, not fibre). The cabinet is 800m from my house. Speed wise, it isn't far off what I was getting consistently from Virgin, but, where they come into there own is stability. My ping is constant. No hopping around, it just barely moves at all! I play League of Legends and my son plays PS4, we have better latency and stability then we ever have before. AAISP have peering with Blizzard and Riot amongst others, which makes your route to their servers as low latency as possible. My wife and daughter stream Netflix amongst others and the picture quality is amazing, no buffering at all. Goes to show that 200mb of poor quality fibre gets bettered at every step by quality over quantity. It costs a bit more granted, but you get real customer service. Faults are diagnosed quickly, and sorted very quickly indeed. Openreach must hate this lot, they are onto them at every step. My install wasn't done properly at the cabinet. I spoke to one of the tech guys and had it diagnosed within 2 minutes. Openreach were out and had it repaired very quickly, and the line settled down a couple more milliseconds. If you take broadband seriously then this lot are for you!
