I originally signed up with Wanadoo broadband in May of last year. Then in February of this year (2007) I moved house and asked them to transfer my broadband to the new address. It took them 45 Days to move the account over during which time they told BT to move my landline back to my old address. I spent weeks on the phone with them. Then it was activated \"Hurray!\" I declared, however my jubilation was short lived when I saw the average speed I was getting at peak times. It was 100Kbps. However in the middle of the night it was a stonking 8Mbps. I work during the day so rarely sit up at 4am browsing the internet.
Leave well alone.

-Dodgy service

-disconnects around 2 to 6 times a day

-has become painfully slow (dialup slow)

-not worth any amount of money at all

In conclusion, stay away.

AVOID!

firsty, the line will drop daily, so for a couple of days a week, i would have no internet at home.longest peroid was 2 weeks no internet.
i was paying full ammount for a service which wanadoo cannot provide.

finally the 1 year contract was up, migrated from them (yes!)things were going very well with my new ISP.
however i relised the month after, wanadoo were still taking money from my account(for 6 months)even though i was reassured by support that my account will close once the MAC was transfered to the new ISP. it has taken 6 months for wanadoo to refund my money (?100).dispet phonecalls every month!

no problems with my new ISP

I used to find that they were an excellent ISP in the Freeserve and Wanadoo days, never had any trouble, but in the past few weeks I don\\\'t know what\\\'s been happening but the service has been randomly disconnecting, sometimes for seconds other times for hours. Also, support used to be reasonable (not great, had to try a few times before my problem got resolved), but now that they\\\'re Orange I really can\\\'t understand anything the support people say. Still, they gave me a cheaper contract when I requested a MAC code but now I\\\'m beginning to wish I\\\'d just taken the MAC.

If you want to keep yor sanity I strongly suggest that you avoid EVER dealing with Orange. As reviews have stated this company simply have no concept of customer service. After a long phone call when my service went down I eventually had the service restored 10 days later. Try getting a refund for no service and you might as well bang your head against a brick wall. When the service did eventually return it took nearly FIVE minutes to load the home page (so much for 8MB) I might as well have had dial up! I was lucky when I requested a MAC code I got one first time. A fiend who also wanted a mac code took 6 goes.Wish I could give a minus score

They dont deserve a 1 foe anything

1.Corrupt: Orange lies and cheats there customers
2.Comedy Customer Service enjoy giving you the runaround
3.Absolutely pup connection, speeds
4.LLU: ha ha ha = translated means disconnection infinato
5.Obstruction in migrating to a proper ISP

Unless you enjoy pain and self inflicted torture, anywhere is a better option than Orange.

Same as all the rest of you. Freeserve OK (ish) Wanadoo OK (ish) Orange - oh my god . how do that company always manage to mess everything up - they\'ve obviously never heard of service. I think I\'ve got off lightly - only had two times when we were totally disconnected for 4 days with no apology no explanation and the orange website says the service is 100%

Bye Orange. Wake up losers.

Orange are not only the worst ISP I\'ve ever had the misfortune to use, they are far and away the worst company of any kind that I\'ve dealt with. I cannot begin to describe the amount of aggravation and wasted hours they\'ve caused me over the past 12 months and I urge anyone reading this to AVOID them at all costs. Anybody working for them who has even a modicum of intelligence should be ashamed of themselves and all the rest are simply too stupid to realise they work for such a bunch of incompetent, idiotic, uncaring, deceitful, thieving scumbags.

Title: Jokers!
My story was, I had Orange for 3 months with \"Unlimited Broadband*\" and got KICKED OUT by them the following month, because I was using 60GB a month which had exceeded their 40GB usage limit for \"Unlimited Broadband*\". wot da.....! whats the point saying \"Unlimited*\" when we are just allowed to use 40GB upload AND download!!! (*acceptable fair use policy)
Lucky, it was them decided to kick me out of the plan, so I did not have to pay the rest of the contract, which was good. BUT, the MAC code they provided for a transfer was USELESS because they pus a line cease well before the code expires!
Isn\'t this breaking the Ofcom rules?

I have been a customer with Orange since its takeover of Wanadoo/Freeserve. I can only say that the service went downhill from that day on! Their Technical Support is non-existent with script-based help in India that they seem incapable of deviating from. Over the past few months I have spent hours on the phone on a daily basis trying to get them to sort out my connection problem but to no avail. I have now switched to ADSL24 and have nothing but praise for this company in comparison & my problem is sorted.
Avoid Orange like the plague - these large companies haven\'t got a clue what customer service and technical support is all about!!
