I have never had any problems with Enta and it's supply, and have now been forceably switched by TitanADSL to the far inferrior VISPA, which to be frank is awful. Much much slower speeds when downloading or watching any youtube videos, the automated phone system is a joke and i cannot wait to get back to enta as a direct customer this time. TITAN and VISPA have one very hacked off ex-customer now.

i recived no phone call as promised in switch over letter, when i logged it forced me to register new card details, i did, this internet worked for 2 hours, then my account was blocked, so i could pay for my first month, i paid, and then was told my account was still blocked, after 5 hours of being blocked i rang up, the automated system was a joke, i was on hold 40mins with a message going average answer time is now 5mins, well when i've been on the phone for over 30mins being told every minute or so the answer time is 5mins or 6mins, or 11 mins, or any other random low number it's frustrating, i finally talk to someone, who refreshed my status and allowed me back on the network, when i asked why i was blocked for so long, i was told it was their standard practise to block everyone to get them to make first payment, even tho i'd autorised and given my payment details and monthly reauthorisation before i was allowed online....... Insane policy that wasted my time i had no internet for serveral hours, and had to wait by the end about 50mins to get them to removed the block because their system was so slow and awful.

Since having it unblocked i can say i truely wish i hadn't wasted my time, luckily i ordered my MAC at the same time, my connection speeds are now maxing out around 40kbs instead of the over 400kbs i am used to, youtube and other videos take an age to load, and other downloads, the less said about them the better, i cannot wait for the 48 hours to get my mac code so i can go straight back to ENTANET but this time as a direct customer, instead of using dodgy resellers and a worse poorly run wholesaler like VIPSA.

I gave services as 8 cause they do offer all the standard e-mail webhosting stuff that i wouldn't use anyway,
support was god awful as explained above so 1
speed is awful very slow, 8megabit connect and my average speed is 40kbs..... says it all really, esp was it was over 400kbs with the previous supplier, so any rubbish about line quality is just a flat out lie
and value is 1 because i get sub 1megabit connect speeds, the "peak" times, is now all day everyday of the week including weekends, 8am till midnight

Title: Top Dog!
I'm one of the great V21 'unwashed' and decided to try Firefly after reading the reviews. I'm delighted! The connection was seamless and the support is first class. The speed is excellent and consistent. All in all, one happy bunny. Highly recommended! 2010 update. Firefly offered a swap to ADSL2+ for free and at the same price. My speed was a various 4-5mb. Now after some very satisfying customer service I have a consistent 13mb. Bloody marvellous! I've switched to their telephone service which includes line rental. Smooooth service and restored my faith in proper caring companies. Swap, you'd be daft not to....

Titan said they moved to Vispa from Entanet due to performance issues. Well i`ve never had any performance issues until the change over day, which for me is today.

With Entanet my gaming ping was 15 with super upload and download speeds.

Now with Vispa my gaming ping is 51 and my downloads and uploads are much slower.

I will be requesting my mac code and finding another isp that is more suited to my needs.

Really not happy with the way Titan do buisness. I suggest looking into other isp`s before attempting these fools.

Rarely have I found the time or felt the inclination to review a service of any kind; however this ISP is undoubtedly the exception to the rule, with friendly efficient staff and a top quality service you will think you have died and gone to ISP heaven – if SKY, BT and other so-called market leaders were even 5% as efficient as Firefly it would be a frosty day in hell...
If it’s fast efficient service you require then Firefly should be your first stop – don’t get fooled by the glitzy promotions on offer by the major market leaders – they will cost you more time, money and frustration in the long run.
With Firefly you can gladly say goodbye to horrifically expensive call centre numbers that keep you on hold for days at a time with no resolve – or surly staff that have more interest in their next lunch break than providing you with helpful communications or god-forbid may actually get your security details correct.
I cannot express enough how gratifying it is to communicate with staff that actually care about the business they work for – something that has unfortunately been lost within the realms of the corporate business world.
Firefly is absolutely superb in every way and in my eyes are the true market leaders!

Title: I Like
I dont agree with all the comments Titan have recived, all of the problems have come from their supplier Entanet which has not just effected them but alot of the resllers that resell Entanet connections. They have listened to there customers and employed a completly new system, There is no port blocking' There is no port Bandwidth throttling, Pings on gaming are very good 16ms baby!!!! The new service still offers a generous monthly usage allowance, And Unlimited off peak. Very happy with new supplier. :-)

I signed up with Titan about 9 months ago after reading reviews here. At that time, they were in the top 10 but have now slipped to number 21.

After the usual bedding down period, the quality of the connection was above my expectations. In fact, it is still great. The speed is good and I can't remember it having ever dropped. However, I've had such a bad experience with their support that I felt I had to warn prospective Titan customers about my experience.

6 months ago, they started to double-bill me each month. Being extremely busy with various aspects of my family life, I didn't notice it for a couple of months. Once I contacted support about the issue, they promised to look into it within 48 hrs but only acknowledge the problem when I chased them up a week later. A chqeue was promised in the post "next week". 6 months on, I'm still waiting for my refund. Of course I've been in touch with support regularly about this. On several occasions, they have promised to send out a refund cheque in the post. Needless to say, the cheques never arrived. Worse yet, though they have acknowledged that the problem exists, I still continue to be double-charged each month!

Getting fed up and spending way too much of the little spare time I have on this problem, I contacted Paypal as the monthly (double) charges are deducted from Paypal account. I was told by Paypal that they can't give any refunds because the subscription payments are not covered by Paypal's standard protection. So it's either back to Titan or, most likely, an official means to get my refund. More time wasted ...

So ... in summary ... would I recommend Titan from a connection speed point of view? Aboslutely? Would I get anyone I know to sign up with Titan? *Never ever*! You just don't how much you're going to end up paying for your connection. Double, triple, who knows?

I was with SAT for 1 year and 9 months and the first year was fine at least, I decided to leave because of the 50Mb Virgin Cable package. I was getting awful latency with Voip and gaming especially, and my line was fine with a healthy 11db SNR. Youtube and Iplayer kept breaking up and buffering at peak times, so watching TV was difficult. The only thing support was going to do was to log my issue with BT Wholesale and there wasnt any problems with my line. When I requested a cease they were very abrupt by writing to me by email after leaving accusing me of not letting them fix the problem. If I leave I dont expect to be lectured about it, its my choice dont be unprofessional. They were good in my opinion at one time but I think time has changed, not impressed at all

I joined Titan a year or 2 ago. In the begining they were great. I always spoke to the same person, never had any hassle with them and the Entanet connection was great.

Then came the phone problems. They gave me some excuse blamming BT for messing up their lines. I could still get replies to e-mails though. Then the replies to e-mails stopped too. I then discovered that they stopped doing Entanet services and were putting everyone on this Vispa service instead.

I decided to jump ship before things got any worse. As I couldn't get hold of Titan I phoned their support line and went through to Entanet support. They put me in touch with their customer support. As I couldn't get in touch with Titan they were happy to give me my MAC.

Thank god I got out when I did. I would definatly say these forced migrations are illegal. For those of you who have become a victim of this I suggest you get in touch with Entanet and advise them you did not authorise this migration. Get them to cancel the order and give you a new MAC. And then get as far away from Titan as possible.

Failing that, get in tocuh with Ofcom who will put you in touch with the BT Ofcom referals team. They should be able to cancel the order.

I'm with Xilo now and couldn't be happier :)

Titan informed me that they are moving all their Enta-based customers over to a Vispa based serice - in my case, giving me less than 3 weeks notice.

I'm happy enough with Enta - and after reading reviews of Vispa, want nothing to do with them.

However, Titan have used my MAC (without my knowledge or consent) for the transfer - meaning that I cannot obtain another MAC code until after the move to the Vispa has been completed.

To begin using the Vispa service I will have to complete a new direct debit mandate - which I'm unwiling to do after reading about Vispa's poor billing track-record, with multiple payment payments being taken from accounts.

However, if I don't sign the mandate, Vispa/Titan will presuambly cease my service - meaning extra reconnecton costs with a new ISP of my choice, and the distinct possiblity of a period without net access.

If that happens I'll be seeing Titan in the County Court! - not to mentin investigating any possible breach of the DPA caused by the unauthorised use of my MAC code.

Titan were once very good - now they are very bad, and (imo) bordering on dishonest for using customer's MAC's in this way!
