When Tiscali got bought out by Talk Talk I read the bad reviews and the horror stories people had trying to leave this company. But did I get out?
Well more fool me. So when we changed, I sent letters to BT and Talk Talk. BT replied promptly and to my surprise with a cheque. Talk Talk ... well I did get a phone call from someone who refused to talk to me because I would not give him all my personal deatails (like any scammer!). I told him to write.
They wrote saying: "please call us". What was there to talk about. I was leaving them, and all they had to do was send the final bill.
Several months later, complaints to everyone, recorded letters making it plain I'm not paying a penny till they get off their useless arses and give me a final bill.
And I've not had anything from them except a letter to say that they couldn't steal money from our bank account from the standing order I stopped.
AND dozens and dozens or silent calls, and nasty vicious recorded messages.
They have my letter telling them explictly that I want a final bill, I've sent in an official complaint the their trade body.
THEY ARE ENTIRELY AT FAULT. THEY HAVE NOT SENT A FINAL BILL ... yet they treat customers like scum.
And, one word of advise. Do not give them an email or a mobile phone number ... give them no personal information that you do not want handed over to some scumbag debt collection agency because TALK TALK ARE SO INCOMPETENT THEY WON'T TELL YOU HOW MUCH TO PAY TO END THE CONTRACT.
