 Post Office (Broadband Fixed Line)
Posted: 02nd Feb, 2010    By: NUT
For anybody considering moving to postoffice for broadband? Don't. The service and reliability is very good don't get me wrong but their customer support is absolutely abysmal. Delayed activation for a week.....2 routers sent to me which both weren't working (had to wait at least a good 2 weeks for the replacement for the 1st broken down router) customer services when I had to phne them about issues regulary not interested and hung up on during calls when I was needing information. If you want a fast/reliable connection then go to the P.O. But don't expect very much support when things go wrong and don't use their own supplied router's.

Frequent speed issues......constant disconnections. Told that problem had been fixed, only for it to get worse. Threatened with nasty charges if I cancel also (how can I be charged for something that's unusuable in the first place) Avoid.

 BT (Broadband Fixed Line)

Rejoined BT back in Janurary due to infinity which sadly has not become available on my line (that i'm not bothered about) what bothered me about BT was their customer services. Appalling to say the least at times (and funny enough they we're all nice when I wanted to rejoin) amazing how things can go downhill quickly) messed up billing constantly.........refusing to admit to their errors......not apologising to me for messing up either and almost ruining my holiday for forcing me to pay out on a bill for 3 months when my bill was always monthly (but due to a cockup from Bt it had mysteriously switched to 3 months) also found their service intermittent at the best of times. Only a email to the very top (and I mean beyond ian livingston) has got me out of my contract with no penalty. Sad that BY still seemingly like this after all these years.

 EE (Mobile Broadband)

Nothing nice to say about EE 4G. I am a t-mobile customer and I was constantly called by EE to go on to 4G. I eventually relented and gave in (as I was promised FREE cinema tickets and FREE EE Movies which of course turned out not to be free) imagine my surprise though when I got the sim card and of course 4G didn't work (and to compound matters 4G isn't even available in my area) so basically hounded to go on to a service I can't even get ;) Eventually I got switched back to t-mobile with a better sim option for me so not all bad but EE 4G not worth the hassle
