I know there are a lot of negative reviews of Onestream already on the site, but I really feel that the more people who can be warned off using them, the better. I have given them one star, but they really merit a minus rating. I was lured in by an apparently good monthly rate. My internet requirements are modest, I wasn't overly impressed by the service, but it was adequate.
However, it wasn't the actual service which most concerned me. Soon after I joined, I discovered that I had been signed up to an unwanted McAfee subscription, after one email notification, which I had missed. It wasn't just an invitation to sign up, but an automatic enrolling. Then I received an email from them saying that I was being automatically signed up for a new support package at a monthly cost of £7.95. Luckily, I discovered that a lower cost package would keep my payments as they were. The real nightmare is escaping their contract. I gave them advance notice but was still threatened with a £240 charge for leaving early HAVING MADE LAST PAYMENT, I got numerous emails telling to cancel my new supplier. After reassurances from them, they then took an unannounced payment of £52.68 for an extra month and then said that the contract finished 3 days later than I had told them, and they would deduct payment from an eventual refund. At last they agreed to repay full amount but haven't got it yet...
