Have been with BT for two years since Openreach installed FTTP. The original Openreach contractor was very good at feeding the fibre optic cable through my preinstalled conduit through to my understairs cupboard where they installed the Openreach ONT.

Looking for alternative to BT and I looked at Trooli. Appeared a good offer for 150Gb up and down, however before giving my bank details to ensure an engineer visit I queried why an engineer was necessary! I was told that the Openreach ONT needs to be replaced with a Trooli ONT with new fibre cable running from ducting in the street!

As I explained to the nice young man from Trooli my 13 mm conduit comes into the house running up through the boxing for the down pipe from bathroom, across the attic then down behing the plaster board into my understairs cupboard where all my NAS stuff is!

I think the Trooli engineer would think this was a bridge too far, just to install an ONT, which presumably will only work with Trooli!

I am sticking with my Standard Openreach ONT which should be compatible with most ISPs!
