Ofcom UK has announced that the 2.6GHz radio spectrum will only be used for wireless camera applications during the 2012 London Olympic Games. The move prevents the band from being used by a new generation of WiMAX or Long Term Evolution ( LTE ) Mobile Broadband technologies, at least while the games are being staged.

Ofcom UK hasreleased its annual Consumer Experience 2010 report, which reveals that customer satisfaction with fixed line broadband ISPs has remained stable on 80%, although dissatisfaction with broadband speeds has grown to 19%.
