The UK Internet Services Providers Association (
ISPA) has revealed all of the finalists for its 2007 Internet industry awards. Typically we will only list the ISP ones below, but be prepared for the odd SHOCK!:
Best Dial-upBiscit

West Somerset Internet

Zen Internet
No doubt many will be quite surprised to see Biscit nominated under the "
Best Consumer ISP" category (Tiscali too), not to mention "
Best Dial-up". We're tempted to ask
ISPA whether this is some kind of joke, having seemingly ignored the vast amount of problems over the past few months with service and support; admittedly mostly broadband related.
Still, the
ISPA awards are no stranger to controversy, although in the eyes of many this will be a step beyond the ridiculous. Its not the first time a shaky provider has been included during a problematic year (
Bulldog etc.), although in this instance some are still feeling the impact of the NetServices/Biscit dispute. Comments?
