The Carphone Warehouse's (TalkTalk) acquisition of rival ISP AOL UK was technically finalised during the end of December following the EU’s approval. Still, today marks the formal completion of its £370m deal, making for a combined total of over 2m customers.

The group’s next quarterly trading update is due during mid-January this month, which should give us a better idea of where the provider is going.
