A new deal between the communications service provider Inclarity and TeleCity could mean that cheaper voice calls, via utilisation of broadband networks, may soon be on their way:
Rapid Roll-out of Broadband Telephony Drives Inclarity to Sign a Contract With TeleCity
Inclarity, a leading communications service provider, today announces that is has chosen TeleCity, the award-winning pan European data centre company, as home for the IP Centrex infrastructure behind its Broadband Telephony service. The move enables a rapid roll-out of Broadband Telephony in preparation for full commercial availability.
Broadband Telephony is a revolutionary telephony service. It delivers phone calls over a broadband connection to offer substantial savings while behaving like a high-end, traditional telephone service (see www.broadbandtelephony.com). The service, launched in March 2003, is being offered on a wholesale, white label basis to channel partners.
Throughout the pre-launch period the service infrastructure has been located in Inclaritys technical centre in North London. However, with an imminent commercial launch to end-customers, and the requirement for fast roll-out to tens of thousands of end-users, the need has arisen to co-locate the IP Centrex infrastructure in two parallel data centres. This will ensure that Broadband Telephony is fully redundant, offering end-users utmost reliability with no single point of failure, and enabling them to replace their BT fixed lines with Broadband Telephony.
Inclarity has chosen to house the additional IP Centrex infrastructure in TeleCitys data centre facilities, located in Londons Docklands; and the contract marks the beginning of a long-term relationship between Inclarity and TeleCity. By taking a dedicated suite at TeleCitys data centre, Inclarity has made Broadband Telephony a truly resilient, flexible, telco-grade service that is capable of scaling to support millions of users.
"To offer the service levels necessary for Broadband Telephony, we needed a reliable and trustworthy data centre provider" said Yuval Benaroya, Inclaritys CTO. "We chose TeleCity because of the high levels of service and engineering excellence that they offer".
"Inclarity's Broadband Telephony is an exciting new service," says Simon Bushell, TeleCity's UK country manager. "As it replaces users' existing telephony service, it clearly requires a reliable, resilient and secure data centre partner in which to be based. At TeleCity we offer the ideal environment for Inclaritys' needs."
