Tiscali Appoints xDSL Marketing Man

Tiscali has appointed Craig Thomas to manage its broadband xDSL and VPN marketing operations. Mr Thomas use to be the senior product marketing manager at CoSine Communications:

Tiscali Business services UK, a subsidiary of Tiscali, the Internet communications company, has appointed Craig Thomas to head up its VPN and DSL marketing operations as part of its drive to deliver solutions tailored to the needs of the retail market and other vertical sectors.
Thomas' role sees him take ownership for all Tiscali Business services vertical UK VPN and DSL solutions. His responsibilities include identifying and developing key markets and business opportunities and delivering sector targeted solutions. Thomas' first assignment will be the launch and continuous development of Tiscali's retail services offering, Centris Retail.
Stephane Huet, COO of Tiscali Business services UK, says: "The retail market can benefit greatly from new network and communications technology in terms of security, efficiency and return on investment. Craig's expertise in managing and marketing of such solutions will be invaluable".
Thomas says, "We predict that a fifth of all UK retailers will be deploying VPN based networks within two years. We will soon launch a bespoke retail solution that offers a cost effective and future-proof proposition for all retail data requirements".
