Been with IDNet sometime now and it just works, yes have had some problems but all resolved very quickly.
Would thoroughly recommend you give them a try if you are looking to change ISP's.
First Class all the way.
I am on a long line from my exchange so have a fixed speed line, but again just nice to know someone with knowledge is at the end of the phone be it PC or MAC.

0800 help number answered quickly by someone who gets it sorted! What a novel approach.
1 month contract because you'll be happy to stay.
I just dont understand the thinking of people who go for the cheapest option and then moan that they're rubbish.
And if I add what my time is worth hanging on the phone to one of those cheaper ISP's to sort their mess out then they actually cost more!
I've been with IDNET for a couple of years and have NEVER had a problem!
I would have given them 10/10 for support if they gave complimentary massages.

Incredible service, great support (both through 800 number and an amazing forum for users).
A wee bit more expensive than other ISPs, but not by much and WELL worth it.
Was with Virgin ADSL, then Vivaciti -- IDnet is head & shoulders above both.
Speeds amazing (6-7 mbps, when i was promised 4 mbps).
Support great -- they answer their phones and get you to the right people to answer your questions. No long delay on hold. Support staff know their stuff.
The users forum is incredibly helpful, during and after office hours.
Try these guys. My prediction is that you will be more than happy.

Good for no throttling or traffic shaping, but max speeds off-peak have been slower than with my previous ISP.
A lot of speed problems recently and connection drops too.
Support seems to be a bit overstretched, with phone calls unreturned and emails forgotten about. Not easy to get a quick response outside of weekday office hours, and IDNet\'s user forum regulars dismiss most complaints as the fault of BT, without any hard evidence, which makes it difficult for a novice like me to know where the fault may lay.
Would rate higher for support if users were kept informed of known problems.
